Our virtual “Know Your Rights” Town Hall is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6, from 12:00pm-1:00pm over Zoom. We will discuss the rights we won in our historic first contract, how to exercise them, and how to get help from our contact enforcement team if Mount Sinai is violating them. Sinai and Columbia postdocs met last Friday for an open Bylaws Committee meeting where we discussed changes to the first half of UAW Local 4100’s bylaws. Our proposed modifications so far have focused on finding the balance between supporting an amalgamated democratic structure that empowers grassroot organizing, and keeping our changes minimal so we can move quickly to electing new union representatives.
Our next, and hopefully final, Bylaws Committee meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6 at 7pm. These meetings are open to all members of our Local. Please RSVP here to attend!
