Today Mount Sinai came with a new proposal in response to the counter we sent over the weekend. Their offer today showed some further improvement in several areas, but only minimal progress on core priorities that other unionized postdocs at institutions like Columbia have won in their contracts, such as dedicated childcare funds, paid parental leave that doesn’t require dipping into sick leave first, and union security. Sinai’s offer also included no further movement on housing.

Sinai has agreed to another session today, December 4 at 5pmClick here to RSVPIf you would like to watch the session together, please join us in preparing signs for our strike at 5pm in the Atran 5th floor conference room.

We remain committed to making every effort to reach a fair agreement by December 6, and hope that Sinai meets us on these priorities this evening.  We continue to be prepared to strike if we must. Sign up for picket shifts here.

As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns.
